Short paper accepted to IEEE VIS 2026

Jul 2026 Our short paper entitled “Debugging as Evidence-Driven Reasoning: Visualization Opportunities in Data-Intensive Programming” has been accepted to IEEE VIS 2026.

Based on semi-structured interviews with nine practitioners across data-intensive domains, we characterize debugging as evidence-driven reasoning and identify three visualization requirements: cross-artifact evidence alignment, expectation-grounded comparison, and traceable state evolution.

The preprint is available on arXiv. Congratulations to all co-authors: Yan Zhu and Rebecca Faust!
